Our Mission

AOMEGA will provide a high quality service for their residents requiring assisted living in a home-like atmosphere while integrated with the community..

Our Vision

Our vision is to ensure that the rights of clients are the most significant to the provision of care.

Our Core Values

These principles guide every decision we make and every interaction we have.

The health, security and comfort of the client will be the foremost value of Aomega; this will be executed with excellence, integrity, respect, innovation with client and family centred care.

Aomega supports clients in maintaining and promoting a state of wellness and independence all embodied in the rights and diversity of the client.

Values & Promoting Wellness

At Aomega Lodges, wellness is not just a goal — it is a promise we make to every resident and their family. These principles shape the care we deliver every single day.

Health, Security & Comfort

The health, security, and comfort of every client is the foremost value of Aomega. We ensure every resident feels safe, cared for, and at home in our communities.

Independence & Wellness

Aomega supports clients in maintaining and promoting a state of wellness and independence, all embodied in the rights of the client. Independence is the key to total wellness — clients are encouraged to do as much for themselves as per their care plan.

Detailed Client Records

Detailed information is maintained on all clients to ensure the maintenance of their health and to bring peace of mind to relatives and other caregivers — because family confidence matters to us as much as resident well-being.

Purposeful Activities

Activities are carefully selected to meet the emotional, mental, and physical requirements of each client. Residents are an integral part of this decision — their preferences and needs shape every program we offer.

Regular Family Meetings

We hold regular meetings every four months with family members, clients, and staff to ensure a constant flow of information, address concerns and complaints, and welcome suggestions for activities, menus, and more.

Fair & Timely Dispute Resolution

All disputes are dealt with immediately and fairly in order to maintain an equitable living arrangement. We are committed to transparency, respect, and swift resolution so that our community remains harmonious and dignified.

"We believe that every senior deserves to live with dignity, purpose, and joy — and our values are the foundation upon which we build that promise, every day."

— Aomega Lodges Leadership Team

Client & Family Centred Care

At Aomega Lodges, our care philosophy is built on ten guiding principles that place the client at the heart of everything we do — from the way we communicate, to the environment we create, to the decisions we make together.

01

All Team Members Are Caregivers

Everyone in the workforce — from the volunteer to the Managing Director — is part of the client's care experience. Regardless of role, each person is expected to put the client first. To reinforce this, Aomega provides client-centered care training for all new employees.

02

Continuous Healing Relationships

Care is based on continuous healing relationships — not just episodes of care. Aomega focuses on the full continuum of care, going beyond the clinical to provide healing at a more personal, meaningful level of healthcare for every client.

03

Customized Care

Care is customized to reflect each client's individual needs, values, and choices. Clients and their designated decision makers play a vital role in shaping their care plan. Residents may even decorate their rooms to their own taste, making individuality a core component of care.

04

Freely Shared Knowledge & Information

Knowledge and information are freely shared between clients, care partners, physicians, and all staff. Every member of the care team — including the client, family, and designated decision maker — must be informed and actively part of the decision-making process.

05

A Healing Environment

Care is provided in a healing environment of comfort, peace, and support. Aomega creates this through music, recreational activities, and soothing colour schemes — with pet therapy programs coming soon — all designed to nurture the whole person.

06

Families & Friends as Care Partners

Families and friends are considered an essential part of the care team. Through our Very Important Partner program, clients identify a trusted individual to receive and share information alongside them — ensuring no one navigates care alone, especially during moments of discomfort or uncertainty.

07

Client Safety as a Visible Priority

Client safety is a visible and unwavering priority at Aomega. We implement rigorous policies and procedures to uphold the highest safety standards, including employee and client immunization programs and strict hand hygiene protocols throughout all our communities.

08

Transparency in All Care

Transparency is the rule — not the exception — in the care of our clients. Providers are upfront and honest so that clients, families, and designated decision makers can make fully informed decisions. Aomega publicly posts its quality and safety performance on the Alberta Accommodation Standards website.

09

Cooperative & Client-Focused Teamwork

All caregivers cooperate through a common focus on the best interests and personal goals of the client. Every process — even those that don't directly involve clients — is performed from a client-value perspective. Menus are decided by clients based on the Alberta Food Guide, and residents choose their own recreational activities.

10

The Client Is the Source of Control

A core tenet of client and family centred care is that the client controls his or her own care. This is the result of effectively deploying all other guiding principles — transparency, information sharing, a healing environment, and a client-focused team — all working together to give clients a true sense of independence.

"To be the source of control of their care, clients must have transparency, shared information, and an environment that allows them to heal — that is the Aomega promise, and the foundation of everything we do."
